OpenStreetMap - Using and Enhancing the Free Map of the World

£23.99

I've known Frederik and Jochen for many years, and it's great to see their famous OpenStreetMap book translated into English with the help of Steve Chilton, as well as being revised and thoroughly updated.

It's a definitive book on all aspects of OpenStreetMap (335 pages in all), and I'm sure you'll find many new things whatever your interests in OpenStreetMap. It's divided into four parts - Introduction, OpenStreetMap for Contributors, Making and Using Maps, and Hacking OpenStreetMap.

From the blurb on the back: "This book explains the community, the data model, and the software behind the endeavor. It enables you to use OpenStreetMap's ever growing body of geodata in your own projects. The book also provides a detailed description about how geodata is collected and processed in OpenStreetMap. If you want to contribute to OpenStreetMap, then this book is the ideal starting point."
